APPROVAL OF THE BILLS
PETITIONS FROM THE PUBLIC
1. Absolutely Indee Marketing Campaign Group to provide a presentation on marketing the community.
2. Jim Rodemeyer, INRCOG, to review the Housing Grant program. Motion-to adopt a Resolution authorizing the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments (INRCOG) to proceed with a Housing Rehabilitation Grant Application for the City of Independence.
3. Motion-to approve the Independence Day Celebration Committee 5th Annual Brew-B-Q events and requests for closing, restricted traffic and No Parking on certain streets.
RESOLUTIONS
4. Motion-to adopt a Resolution accepting and approving the division of lots in Deer Run Court Addition Final Plat
NEW BUSINESS
5. Motion-to set the date of a public hearing as September 13, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the city hall in the City of Independence for consideration of adopting an Ordinance amending Chapter 69 Parking Regulations specifically to disallow parking on Fourth Street SW, on the south side, from Sixth Avenue SW to Seventh Avenue SW.
