Former Independence resident presents her father's experience in a WWII Prisoner of War camp.

This is the new date. The event was postponed due to weather.

Former Independence resident, Renate Fabricius Hunter, will present the story of her father’s experience in a World War II Prisoner of War camp. She will share her family history and the connections with Germany, Poland, Russia, Kansas, and ultimately, Independence.

This presentation is part of the Independence Public Library’s One Book One Independence (OBOI) programming featuring Stars Over Clear Lake by Loretta Ellsworth. Hunter’s presentation, free and open to the public, will be in the Community Room at the library beginning at 6:30 pm.
