Who wouldn’t enjoy of the Worlds finest and most unique beers?  Brews from Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Washington and as far away as Germany, France and England will be served up for your enjoyment.  And, perfectly seasoned, slowly cooked, mouth watering BBQ compliment the largest brew tasting event in Northeast Iowa.

The Independence Brew-B-Q is a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned cooking competition and is located at River Walk Parks.  BBQ teams from across the Midwest come for the weekend to compete for part of the $6500 in prize money. 

A portion of the proceeds from the Brew Tasting go to support Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Independence.    

Other activities include a 25 mile bike ride, coed sand volleyball tournament, amateur chili contest and live music.
